De’Longhi America, Inc. is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to lead the Demand Planning team and further develop forecasting and inventory management processes for De’Longhi North America, which includes US, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America.  This role is directly responsible for driving improvements in forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turns while assuring inventory is balanced in the right locations at the right time in the right quantity.  This is a critical leadership role in the De’Longhi America Supply Chain organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coach, and mentor a team to support the Demand Planning and Inventory Management Functions
  • Develop, oversee, and facilitate the monthly S&OP process to optimize supply and demand flow across all categories for North America
  • Improve both top-down and bottom-up Forecast Accuracy through developing and maintaining key performance metrics at different execution levels and across different functions to identify root causes and corrective actions
  • Develop appropriate statistical modeling techniques as a key input to demand planning decisions.
  • Identify and drive scalable demand planning process improvements and system enhancements
  • Develop and manage appropriate inventory strategies supporting both local and global inventory turns targets
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all overseas factories, central planning teams, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to assure timely and accurate supply flow
  • Maintain and manage key vendor partnerships supporting the inbound flow of goods
  • Deliver rolling Demand Plan to the Central Planning function and assure the corresponding production schedules meet the Demand and Inventory plans for De’Longhi North America

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work-related experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain, preferably in consumer durable goods
  • At least 5 years of management / leadership experience
  • SAP APO or other Forecasting Systems Experience
  • Experience utilizing statistical models in a business environment for decision making
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
